Tu B'Shvat is a New Years for trees and we celebrate it by eating different types of fruits, specifically the 7 fruits of Israel: wheat, barley, grapes, figs, pomegranates, olives and dates.

Winter Break
At Yeshiva Primary, we see first hand how hard our students work on a daily basis learning and accomplishing a lot. The administration feels that children need some time off to re-energize and get ready for another semester of studying and discovering new information.

Purim Carnival
The students are anxiously looking forward to our annual Purim carnival. Purim is a jolly holiday celebrating the survival of the Jewish nation from the hands of the Persian King Achashverosh and his right hand man Haman. We will commemorate this with a fun carnival. Have the students join and honor this special day with us as we play games, be entertained by professional clowns, enjoy delicious snacks and win some prizes. The best part of Purim for children besides the parties and treats they receive is DRESSING UP!!! Dressing up for Purim sounds fun but why do it? It is to show that the miracles of Purim were performed in a hidden manner through natural events. Students in grades 4-8, parents, friends of the Yeshiva and alumni are welcome to join us during our annual Purim program. Regular school bus service will be provided to our current students. It is needed to hear the Megillah reading 2 times on Purim, once at night after the Fast of Esther and once during the day. We give our families the opportunity to hear it during the day.
